Our concerns have been deepening due to the escalation of tensions, which emerged from September onwards as a result of the intensification of unilateral practices of Israel against Haram al-Sharif contrary to status quo, through the mutual loss of lives.

The prevention of the entry of Palestinians into the old city of Jerusalem including Haram al-Sharif cannot be accepted under any circumstances. The consequences of the occupation of East Jerusalem, which is an integral part of the Palestinian territories, cannot constitute an excuse for arbitrary measures taken.

Israel must immediately put an end to its illegal actions targeting the status and peace of Jerusalem.
