We welcome the signing of the Libyan Political Agreement in Skhirat, Morocco on 17 December 2015, which has been finalized through a year-long UN-facilitated negotiations. H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the signing ceremony and delivered a speech, as a concrete manifestation of our solidarity with the brotherly Libyan people.

We believe that the basis of national reconciliation will further broaden in the upcoming period and all the Libyan people will contribute to the success of broad-based Government of National Accord, to be formed pursuant to the Agreement.

Turkey will contribute by any means to the efforts of the Government of National Accord to establish security and stability in the country during the transition process.
