We have learnt with great sorrow that more than 60 innocent Iraqi brothers and sisters lost their lives and more than 100 Iraqis were injured as a result of suicide attacks perpetrated today (17 May) in four different areas of the capital of Iraq, Baghdad.

We strongly condemn these heinous terrorist attacks. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, a speedy recovery to those wounded and patience to all Iraqi people.

Turkey, which has been fighting terrorism for many years and is still waging this fight, will continue to cooperate with Iraq in its struggle against terrorism.
